Processing requirements should be defined with measurable specifications before production and shipment.
Slitting and Coil Processing
Actual equipment image should be used. Processing feasibility depends on alloy, thickness, width, edge requirement, coil configuration, quantity, and quality requirements.
Aluminum strip slitting requirements may include finished width, width tolerance,
edge burr condition, burr direction, coil ID, coil weight, winding direction,
coil shape, packaging, and labeling.
Edge Condition and Downstream Processing
Actual edge inspection image. Acceptance criteria should be agreed according to downstream stamping, forming, winding, coating, or assembly requirements.
Finished slit width and width tolerance.
Edge trimming requirement.
Maximum acceptable burr condition or burr direction.
Coil ID, coil OD, and coil weight limitations.
Winding direction and coil orientation.
Protective packaging and labeling requirement.
